DONATIONS

Cooperage Brewing is proud to support our community through ongoing charitable giving. If you’re requesting a donation, please email info@cooperagebrewing.com with the subject line DONATION REQUEST and include the following:

• Your organization’s name

• A copy of your 501(c)(3) determination letter

• A formal request letter with event details

We require a minimum of 60 days’ notice prior to your event. Due to legal restrictions, all donations must comply with ABC regulations. We can only consider requests from certified 501(c)(3) organizations—we do not sponsor teams or non-charitable groups.

While we prioritize local schools and Sonoma County charities, this is not a requirement. Please note that submitting multiple requests will not increase your chances of receiving a donation.

🚫 A Note About Beer Donations

In California, breweries can only donate beer to certain events with the proper nonprofit permitting in place. We also cannot donate beer for raffles, auctions, or events that are not in full compliance with ABC laws.

Additionally, beer donations are not considered tax-deductible charitable contributions.

• The IRS does not allow businesses to deduct the fair market value of goods they produce (like beer).

We do our best to give where we can, but we ask for your understanding that regulations and tax law limit how we can participate.
